Local & Family History Group

Stoneywell

This sub-group of the Nottingham Centre has a membership of about 40.

We aim to visit places of local or historic interest in and around Nottinghamshire which don’t feature on the Centre’s visits to more distant locations. Travel is either by public transport or private car, with those members having spare seats offering lifts to people living nearby when convenient.

We also hold a few coffee mornings each year at the homes of those members who feel able to offer their hospitality. The coffee mornings are always lively and friendly and offer opportunities to get to know each other, exchange news, make a short presentation about our own locality or family history and display the results (photos/documents etc.) of our researches.

There is an additional small annual subscription for Centre members who wish to join the Group. If you are interested in joining the Group, details are printed in our newsletters or you can request information via the Contact tab above.

Visits planned for 2020 were cancelled because of the coronavirus situation.

This page will be updated as and when further details become available.
